The refurbishment of the Senior Administration Building at Guildford Grammar School has transformed an established campus building into a light-filled and uplifting workplace designed to support and inspire staff in their day-to-day roles.
The design carefully balances old and new, celebrating the character and heritage of the existing structure while introducing contemporary interventions that enhance functionality and comfort. Original architectural elements have been retained and complemented by refined material selections, improved spatial planning, and enhanced natural light, creating a cohesive and considered environment.
The renewed administration space provides a welcoming and professional experience for visitors, students and families, while also delivering a highly functional workplace. Thoughtful design and flexible furniture selections allow spaces to support both collaboration and focused work, while easily adapting to accommodate small staff gatherings and events.
End-of-trip facilities were also integrated into the refurbishment, supporting staff wellbeing and encouraging sustainable commuting practices.
The result is a contemporary administration environment that respects its past while confidently supporting the evolving needs of the school community.
