Our design approach was grounded on the strong synergy and balance between the church, nearby school and the local community. This sacred space needed to feel welcoming, peaceful, approachable and inclusive.

St Joseph Pignatelli Parish is a contemporary and welcoming space.

Internally there is an abundance of natural light and the cedar panelling creates warmth framing the glass cross on the curved wall behind the altar. Perforated acoustic ceilings reduce echo and noise reverberation creating a comfortable environment.

Finishes include diamond cut limestone walls both internally and externally, and the cedar warmth has been carried through to the outside with the cedar lined eaves.

The banksias and existing mature trees in the surrounding gardens attract a variety of insects, birds and other wildlife, making for a tranquil setting.
