Blossoming from the client’s wishes to preserve their ties to the community and remain in a place they truly loved, we embarked on a transformation project to future proof their home. This ensured the family could remain in the character residential zone of Colonel Light Gardens, as their young family continued to grow.
In maintaining the character of the neighbourhood, the crafted contemporary extension is strategically positioned to be concealed behind the existing bungalow and has also been oriented to engage with passive design principles. The resulting layout creates a dynamic connection between the garden and main living spaces, with an abundance of natural light conditioned by the operable louvres and double-glazed windows.
