The Sports Centre building was planned as a replacement and upgrade to an existing gymnasium facility and provides the College with more space and opportunities to accommodate a greater variety of sports in an enclosed environment.

Located on the eastern boundary of the College grounds, the building was built on an area formally occupied by College maintenance buildings and included an upgrade to the existing Dean Road entrance which also includes a public art installation.

The building contains two storeys with the ground floor accommodating the double volume gymnasium with playing courts and climbing wall, stores, change rooms and 4 classrooms. The building first floor accommodates 7 classrooms, a fitness centre and staff offices with a viewing balcony overlooking the playing courts and climbing wall below.
