Beyond his professional pursuits, Philip is a dedicated father, an enthusiast of extra hot coffee, golf, photography, and science fiction, underlining a rich personal life that fuels his creative vision. His leadership extends to significant roles within educational and professional communities, advocating for a volunteer spirit and service ethic that mirrors EIW’s guiding principles.

Chloe focuses on architecture that positively impacts communities, driven by the belief that well-designed spaces can empower future leaders. Her innovative, human-centric designs have strengthened client relationships, particularly in creating dynamic learning environments. With significant achievements in educational architecture both in Australia and internationally, Chloe, a Design Architect excels in master planning and workshop coordination, emphasising spaces that are both functional and transformative, reflecting a deep commitment to enhancing educational settings.

Documentation standards, Revit, BIM systems, contract administrator

Tanya brings a breadth of architectural experience, focusing on crafting spaces that deeply impact human experience and enrich people’s lives. Her work spans across educational and commercial projects, where she leverages her creativity and meticulous attention to detail. Tanya is proficient in construction knowledge and adept in using Archicad and Revit, ensuring her projects are both innovative and grounded in practicality. Her architectural philosophy prioritises the thoughtful organisation of space and the creation of human centred environments.

Before joining EIW Architects, Chris Morley led Echelon Studio as its sole director for 12 years. His leadership and dedication to the Architectural field have been recognized through his tenure as the AIA SA Chapter President (2023 – mid-2024) and his ongoing role as a Chapter Councillor. In 2023, Chris was honored with the SA Chapter Emerging Architect Prize for his outstanding contributions to Practice, Engagement, and Education.

Chris has a strong background in academia, serving as a Lecturer and Tutor at the University of South Australia for 13 years. With a particular focus on the Bachelor of Interior Architecture degree, he has helped shape the next generation of designers. He also co-founded CodeFish Studio, a boutique software development company, showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit and diverse skill set.

His work, both professionally and personally, is guided by a simple yet profound belief: “For whatever I touch, I must believe that I can provide a positive impact.” This ethos underscores his commitment to making meaningful contributions through small yet significant actions.

Chris’s hobbies and interests include playing sports and following Formula 1 and the NBL. His international travel experiences, such as a school exchange trip to Japan and a trek along the Annapurna range in Nepal, have shaped his perspective and fueled his passion for exploration and connection.

Peter, deeply embedded in EIW Architects’ fabric, is celebrated for his precision in construction details and has been a cornerstone of the firm across various sectors. His passion for architecture is fuelled by a love for building, drawing, and resolving intricate design challenges, ensuring projects are realised with innovation and accuracy. His proficiency in documentation and contract management, alongside a strong collaborative approach with clients and partners, cements his role in guiding projects from inception to successful completion, making him a pivotal figure in the firm’s legacy.

Lesly stands out for her dedication to creating spaces that profoundly impact lives by fostering a strong sense of place and identity. Her belief in the power of collaboration from concept design to on-site execution shines through her work. With a keen interest in interior design, she skilfully employs materiality, texture, colour, and design theories to inspire end users. Lesly’s comprehensive involvement across project stages, including brief development and project delivery, underscores her holistic approach to architecture.

Susan Powell is a highly experienced Senior Architect with expertise spanning South Australia and the Northern Territory. She has successfully delivered projects across various sectors and building types, bringing creativity and leadership to every venture. Susan’s extensive portfolio includes award-winning residential and commercial Architectural schemes, with specialized experience in education, residential, sports and recreation, modular construction, conservation, and adaptive reuse projects. Her ability to lead complex stakeholder groups through each stage of the design and documentation process ensures that every project aligns with common goals and delivers the right outcomes for her clients.

From a young age, Susan knew she wanted to be an Architect, and her passion for the field has only grown over the years. Her strong work ethic and progressive willingness to learn have been key to her successful design career and her seamless transition into leadership roles. She prides herself on her exceptional communication skills, which help her build consensus among diverse groups and drive effective design delivery.

Outside of work, Susan’s adventurous spirit shines. She loves camping, 4×4 driving, and watersports on the river, finding joy in nature and quality time with her family.

Tyler specialises in designing spaces that seamlessly connect users to their environment, aiming to evoke emotional responses and exceed expectations. His portfolio spans residential, art galleries, restaurants, and commercial fitouts, with a focus on sustainable design principles that harmonise with technology to reduce environmental impact. Tyler’s approach is informed by his belief in the importance of integrating buildings with their surroundings, underpinned by a sharp wit that enlivens his professional interactions.

Kathryn weaves her diverse passions for architecture, education, and nature into her professional ethos. With a background as a secondary teacher, she brings a unique perspective to designing spaces that enrich learning and living experiences. Kathryn champions architecture’s social and civic responsibilities, emphasising the interplay between built environments and their influence on us. Her work on Specialist Disability Accommodation showcases her commitment to inclusive design, ensuring accessibility and engagement for all users. Kathryn’s approach combines technical skill with a deep understanding of the impact of thoughtful design on individual and community well-being.

Firas, with a passion for the serene and the simple, finds joy in the calm of empty beaches and the companionship of a childhood cat. His love for football is unmatched, hinting at a playful, energetic approach to life and work. Firas is known for his philosophical insight, enriching conversations and project discussions with depth and perspective. Shin has a deep appreciation for the built environment and its significant impact on human experiences. Justin brings a passion for creating functional, uplifting, and sustainable spaces. Justin’s collaborative spirit, alongside his eagerness to embrace new challenges and learn new skills, underscores his comprehensive approach to architecture. Drea has always been driven by her passion for design and construction, aiming to blend cultural and modern elements to create environments that enhance user experience. With a focus on people-centred design, she advocates for architecture that fosters community connectivity, wellbeing, and sustainability, ensuring a meaningful experience for all. Drea combines her passion for architecture with her individual hobbies of boxing, ceramics, and a love for her Italian heritage.

Louis draws inspiration from the dynamic nature of architecture, emphasising designs that engage users and enhance interactions. With a commitment to reintroducing the human touch to contemporary architecture, Louis focuses on creating intimate spaces that benefit users, passers-by, and the environment. He values the importance of client collaboration, believing that a positive client-architect relationship is key to crafting spaces that are not only functional but also enjoyable. Louis combines his professional aspirations with personal interests like surfing and sports, contributing to his holistic view of architecture.

Kat, deeply inspired by Zaha Hadid, is an architecture student dedicated to enhancing accessibility within the built environment. Her commitment to architecture was ignited by witnessing the innovative design of the London Aquatics Centre and the Opus in Dubai. Through her personal journey, Kat is driven to ensure the discipline of architecture prioritises inclusivity, aiming to create spaces that accommodate everyone, regardless of ability. Her ambition extends beyond personal achievement, seeking to inspire individuals with disabilities to pursue careers in architecture, thereby advocating for a more inclusive and diverse professional community.

Matthew began his journey into architecture as a way to blend his passions for photography, assembling intricate designs, and exploring new environments. This unique perspective has driven his commitment to creating spaces that are not only functional but also a delight to inhabit, with a strong emphasis on natural light and materiality.

With a Master of Sustainable Design, Matthew’s work is deeply rooted in sustainability and forward-thinking design principles. He has a particular interest in addressing the challenges faced by bushfire and natural disaster-affected areas, aiming to craft spaces that are resilient, sustainable, and restorative for the people and communities they serve.

When he’s not immersed in Architectural projects, Matthew is a semi-professional cyclist with impressive achievements. He has represented Australia twice at the elite Gravel World Championships and competed in races across the USA and Europe, showcasing his determination and commitment both on and off the track.

Bryn’s Architectural journey began with a childhood fascination for buildings, homes, and the diverse cultures they represent. Born in La Union, a province in the Philippines, Bryn moved to Australia at the age of seven. This transition sparked his curiosity about how architecture reflects and influences the culture of a place. For Bryn, Architecture is more than just functionality; it is a creative and authentic discipline that profoundly impacts people and their communities. He believes that good Architecture should serve a functional purpose while also contributing meaningfully to the lives of those it serves.

Beyond his professional life, Bryn has a wide range of interests and passions. He enjoys woodworking, playing basketball, cycling, making music, and spending quality time with his family. As a member of his local church’s worship team, Bryn plays the acoustic guitar and sings.

Growing up Reka has always had a strong passion for architecture and has been consistently driven in her pursuit of the profession. Her brief experience at EIW during high school was a defining moment in her learning career, eventually bringing her back to the company. As a student of architecture she is constantly prepared to learn and keep up with the latest trends in design, innovation and sustainability.
Reka’s Hungarian heritage plays an important role in all aspects of her life, inspiring her to incorporate her hybrid upbringing in all her endeavors. Speaking Hungarian has strengthened her connection to her family and the Hungarian community in Perth where she spends her free time folk dancing and volunteering.
Whilst the historical Architecture and bustle of Budapest has always been a part of her life, Reka would not be able to completely give up the sun, sand and salty oceans of Australia.

Kate is a multifaceted professional whose life revolves around family, creativity and design. Kate has a Bachelor of Marketing and Communications, and is currently studying a Diploma of Interior Design so she can combine her creativity and learning space knowledge she has attained during her time at EIW. Kate is also an experienced event stylist and florist with an eye for colour, texture and aesthetic detail. As a mother of two young children she is passionate about early years design, functionality, and safeguarding children and young people.
