Mt Lawley Primary School re-opens its doors

Mt Lawley Primary School re-opened on Monday two and a half years after a deliberately lit fire burned 80% of the historic building. Premier Colin Barnett and Education Minister Peter Collier officially re-opened the school in time for the new school year. Students and parents alike were very excited to return to their new environment which features new technology in a two storey, twelve classroom block.  EIW Architects are proud to have been involved in this project.  In the design of the new building we maintained the school's original facade which is over 100 years old whilst creating spacious, fun and modern learning environments. The new changes include a dental therapy centre, hard courts, a lift shaft for accessibility, as well as more learning space that accommodates over 500 students.
