Third Annual CEFPI Symposium is a Success in Perth, March 2014

EIW staff recently attended the third CEFPI WA Chapter Symposium, discussing inner-city education. A great line-up of speakers (including our own Peter Lippman) provided different opinions and thoughts on how education and our perceptions of the city are changing. You can read an article on the event by Associate Director Dani Martin here.

Peter Lippman's article is published in CEFPI journal

EIW Architects own Peter Lippman is published in the 47th edition of the CEFPI journal where he discusses the 'Science of Learning'. To read the full article, click here

Peter C. Lippman is lecturing at SETT in Skandinavia

EIW Architect's Associate Director Peter C. Lippman will be travelling to Skandinavia in May for the SETT (Skandinavian Educational Technology Transformation) Forum

Skandinavia is heavily invested in the education of future generations and take pride in furthering technology to aid the children in education.

At the Forum Peter will lecture on the importance of creating spaces conducive to learning to encourage not only collaborative working but also private working environments to help concentration. There are many factors that can affect a potential working environment such as lighting, temperature and air quality. As we all know good air flow and natural light helps the body whilst it is working. It is also important to address the type of work that will be conducted in specific areas. If a space is too small to host a group or a space too exposed for single person study, it will diminish the effectiveness of the study space.

All these things will be addressed and elaborated upon in Peter's lecture and we are looking forward to hearing what he has to say.
