Mt Lawley Primary School Rises from the Ashes

17 months after the arson incident at the Primary School in July 2012, EIW Architects has been working in conjunction with Department of Education, the Heritage Council and local and state government to begin rebuilding Mt Lawley Primary School.

Official "sod-turning ceremony" on Wednesday 11th December signifies the symbolic beginning of the building process, the contract for which having gone to Badge Constructions.

CEFPI WA Chapter- Inaugural publication "Thinking About Learning" Volume 1

Hammond Park Catholic Primary School and Tranby College Senior School & Administration Building have been included in the CEFPI WA Chapter inaugural publication ‘Thinking About Learning’, co-edited by Associate Director Dani Martin.

This publication celebrates the unique diversity of educational projects completed by CEFPI WA members over recent years. As a collection, the projects provide comment on current emerging trends, thoughts and ideas about learning and the spaces in which it occurs.

Featuring projects by Armstrong Parkin Architects, Broderick Architects, Cox Howlett & Bailey Woodland, eiw architects, Gresley Abas, HASSELL, JCY architects + urban designers, Marcus Collins Architects, Nature Play Solutions, Parry & Rosenthal Architects, SITE Architecture Studio and Taylor Robinson.

Each project included conveys a different way of thinking about learning, and provides a link between educational theory and the built understanding of the learning process.
