The 2013 Venice Biennale in Art and Architecture Begins

The Venice Biennale has for over a century been one of the most prestigious cultural institutions in the world. Established in 1895, the Biennale has an attendance today of over 370,000 visitors at the Art and Architecture Exhibitions.

 

It wasn't untill 1975 that the first steps towards an architecture exhibition were taken. From this late start the architecture exhibitions have grew to be one of the biggest aspects of the Venice Biennale.

 

Look out for the 13th International Architecture Exhibition Common Ground.  Directed by David Chipperfield


Common Ground will consist of a single exhibition through the Central Pavilion at the Giardini and the Arsenale: David Chipperfield will present an Exhibition with 69 projects, by architects, photographers, artists, critics and scholars.
